Lets see your Cars and Trucks 3/16th or 1/64th

The box shows 1:50 but the model is 1 1/2 inches wide which in S gauge is 96".

McDonald offered an REA semi listed a O gauge but is much closer to 1/64.   John

I run Marx O-27 3/16 stuff.  That's S scale running on O tracks.  A lot of Plasticville is closer to S than O, too.  As a result I have ended up with more cars than Avis.  Most are 1?64 with some a bit larger or smaller.

I'll start entering pics of what I have, but not will be in a scenery shot because I haven't got much scenery (or tracks....or bases....or much of anything but a vast pile of unbuilt Marx and Little Town, etc. buildings and pieces and a whole herd of cars, trucks, trailers, motor homes, lunch trucks, and such like.) and a lot of it still requires some restoration or modification.

Someday....

One 1/64 truck on my otherwise O gauge layout-a Corgi fire truck. It’s the only one that fits in the Plasticville firehouse.

50's F&F cars from Post cereal boxes are perfectly scaled to 1/64. Nicely detailed, too.

I guess I am not familiar with what you have mentioned in your post. Are these currently available or are these from the distant past?

They came in post grape nuts flakes (blah!) in the middle fifties through the early sixties. The earlier ones were better, IMO.

I acquired a few of them at a trade show.  I'd forgotten how fragile they are, and the cost is outrageous now, but you are right.  They look great.

Love the Speed Racer Mach 5

I will start off with a new 1/64th acquisition I received yesterday from the Postal Service. The last picture also includes an AHL truck and a M2M car.

There are still a lot o cars I'd like to see, like a '54 Dodge Royal Lancer, a ' 70 1/2 Firebird Formula 400, a decent MGA, a '68 Datsun 1600 Fairlady Roadster, any '49-'60Nash, Packard, Hudson, and Kaiser-Fraser products, M151 "Jeeps", Austin Healy Sprite "frog eye roadsters, Merc Turnpike Cruisers, Chrysler and / or Dodge station wagons,  TR3-3A and a host of others.

I have a couple of new arrivals

Good one Ray. Here is a layout scene with some cars, a truck and the front end of a school bus.

Of the school bus? It sure is. Note in the picture above the bus is at the traffic light about to enter the intersection from right to left.

Below are two closeup pictures. First is the front but from the passenger side showing the doors. Second is the rear, from the drivers side.

Tom, another excellent scene, I would enjoy seeing more of your layout. As to the school bus I think most of us are more familiar with the older more conventional school buses, though I have seen a few like yours in our area.

Rusty, great Futurliner model. Ray, back in the early 60's our school district had a few of the rear engine buses similar to that model. Most of the school buses in use then were the typical front engine design.

I like the Eckerd truck. The tractor unit is different than any of the trucks I have.

Similar in appearance to a train made by American High Rail.

Here is another small road scene. It has one of my PRR freight trucks and a blue 1953 Olds 2 door sedan. The train blocks the view of two more trucks.

The green REA car is new, it is from the most recent Lionel AF catalog. It matches the 2007 PRR passenger car set except the lighting has been changed to LED. Obviously the color is not Tuscan.

Some examples of the F & F Fifties Fords mentioned early in the thread.  The details were quite accurate, but no interiors except in the convertibles.

Those are very nice cars. They would be perfect with Plasticville buildings. I never noticed them back when I was regularly attending train shows.

Yes, those would be nice, and a good deal lighter than the diecast cars populating my car haulers, might not have to double or triple head the train pulling them.

AmFlyer: Yes, they're perfect for Plasticville.  They fit nicely in the gas stations and fire station (how about that red station wagon for a fire chief's car?).

Rayin"S": That's a great idea for the hauler.  The cars weigh next to nothing; an entire train of loaded Auto Loaders would hardly weigh more than if empty.

Here are two diecast VWs in 1/64.  The yellow German-made VW1300 by Sicu is decorated in a safety motif and identified on the box as a "Car Club Patrol Car".  The green Malaysia-made Hot Wheels (1988) is of a pre-1958 VW and has "Getty" on the roof.
