One positive method is to position wood blocks to the bridge base falls into the "slot".
I am assuming you are talking about a lift out bridge and not a motorized one. I found this video for a double track lift out bridge...................Paul

Don. That's it. I forgot to mention... It will be hinged. The problem is it dropping into the exact spot every time. It is a truss bridge that spans 3 feet. Looking at yours, I guess I could put 2 tiny cones on the bottom of the bridge so when it comes down to meet the block that would have matching holes. Thoughts?

I took picture before pin but there is no flexing so alignment is good. My friend, whom I built this for, has no complaints.
Line up your track, drill down into support block and put a a nail in the hole.
