Any tips or tricks to do this. It seems to be very firmly cemented in place. How does one just “lift out battery”?

You may have to remove the mount for the boards, if you have too remember to look for insulators and shims. Before you get to that point, try thin shims and slide under battery. Working back and for doing it easy.
Typically, you have to loosen the mounts to free the battery, there are no insulators involved.
Bracket has 2 screws, may have to remove board bracket 2 screws to elevate. Hopefully you can access them, otherwise you do have to start removing items from the top. G
Ok thanks to all replies. Looking at photo, front is to the right; from which side do I remove the 2 board bracket screws?
You might just have to loosen them and tilt it up enough to get the battery out.
