This may not be strange to some of you, but it is to me. For the first time, it appears that when a lighted car straddles the isolation track creating a block, it activates the entire system. Must be a conduit from front to rear pickups for lights. Or maybe it's the steel wheels creating the conduit. Anyone had this experience and is there a simple cure?
That's what we call "Bridging." Basically, because there are two pickup rollers tied together to feed the lights, the current flows into one roller and out the other -- the "bridge" over the gap. There is actually a way to prevent this from happening, but you'd have to re-wire every car with a pair of diodes and an electrolytic capacitor.
