Hi everyone. I recently purchased an oval of lighted fastrack #2025080. It comes with a DC terminal connection straight track and I used a purple Lionel DC wart from another set to power it and it works perfectly. My question is can I have this oval of lighted fastrack powered by an AC transformer instead? I don't want the AC transformer to blow out the LEDs if the track is meant to run on DC only. If they answer is yes how would I wire that to my AC transformer? Would I disconnect the jumpers in the existing terminal piece, get a #6-12053 wire and connect that to my AC transformer? I don't see any notches on either side on the terminal track to run the wire through so I guess I would need to drill a little hole. It just looks to me like this track was designed to work on DC warts only since only a DC terminal connection straight track is included and I don't see an AC version of the terminal track included on their website. Would appreciate any guidance.

I have the same question.
Yes. The lighted FasTrack will work on AC. You can just solder to the bottom of the track. Do a search it was covered. Some folks have soldered directly to the light track or just used a non lighted terminal section that is sold for non walwart transformer.
Here is another thread. I am just going to buy a 4 pack of straight at Hennings today, since they have some in stock. They now have one pack in stock. Oldmike
Hi GUYZ,
Yes as others have stated. Real easy to take apart bottom of the LED track and use the power drop cords that come with the Lionel starter sets. I use these and it’s just like using regular fast track to hook up your power.
