Are any LC+ locos made for O 27?
Replies sorted oldest to newest
It looks to me like most of them are. Maybe Lionel is leaving the O-27 designation off locos since they are not making tubular track any more.
In the early catalogs that introduced LC+, steamers were listed as O31 and diesels as O27. Has anyone run LC+ steamers on O27?
I can't speak officially for Lionel. But based on the six driving wheels' wheelbase, I would imagine that the Hudson and Pacific would run on O27. The only issue might be if the drawbar that connects the loco to its tender is too short. And a skilled mechanic could probably make a longer one if necessary. My $.02.
POTRZBE,
As the new Train Room becomes more complete we will definitely know for real, I plan to have an 027 layout switches and all, constructed as part of an inner loop. I do believe that most of the LC & LC+ will run fine on 027, there maybe a couple Engines that may have problems we will see.
