Is there a easy way to temporary disconnect the auto uncoupler. My 2/12 old grandson loves the whistle but he activates the uncoupler. Makes for some quick action on my part to avoids a rear ender. Would like to reconnect when he gets a little better with the remote. Thanks Tstark

Nope, but you can use twist ties, plastic ties or rubber bands as temporary measures that will keep the coupler hooked up to the first car in your train.
It's a little more complicated, but longer twist ties (once around the shank of the loco coupler and through the following rolling stock coupler knuckle) and plastic ties (takes two--one around the shank of the electrocoupler and one through that tie and then through the rolling stock coupler knuckle) can still work. Nice thing is that it's easily reversible .
I assume this is LC+ since you are talking electro un-coupler.
Sure there is. The coupler can be disconnected. You need to remove shell and unplug it. Either diesel or steam tender. G
Thanks GGG I figured that there would be something . Now if I could only put a timer on the whistle . That kid sure likes to hear it.
you could dissemble the tender and add a on/off switch for the electro coupler, or use a none plus tender if it uses the same draw bar.
Followed GGG advice and unplugged it . But he still works that whistle .
