lionchief tier 4 question fixing the motor problem

I could not help but note that last year had no tier 4 sets in the catalog only the dash 8

has lionel addressed the motor / gear failure problem ? i imagine they know since its a widespread issue i mean they got rid of magnetic track since people complained ?

was the year long lack of tier 4 sets to redesign the engine with better motors?

i have that tier 4 halloween set on order hoping that they fixed the issue
