I was wondering if anyone was having problems out of their challenger engine? I have 2 of these engines and I have had nothing but problems out of mine.....AC regulator (both engines) IR transmitter (both engines) short in clinchfield that burnt up motor board and mother board and melted a bunch of wires and several smoke motors.
I have 2 Y's and a big boy that run fine. I also have the N&W blue 44c and it operates great.
Yes I have been using the AF 300 watt transformer. I plan on installing the lionel lock on for better protection from shorts. I love running these engines and want to keep on running them.
