Unless you have a Legacy crane with issues, there is no need to rush to upload. Here is the zip file contents:
• Fix issue with Legacy crane type
• Added new sound type for future Legacy cranes
• Additional optimizations for Base3 compatibility

Actually, it's been there for months, my download is dated 9-25-22, over four months ago.

Yes it has been there to download since mid last year. What I was saying is it's available to physically purchase the module for those who can't download and upgrade bye the utility program.

I don't see them for sale on Lionel site
I'm not sure if I have a writable module or not, I think there are some black ones in my box. Still after looking at the release notes I'm in my usual "If it's not broke, then don't try and fix it mode". Of course, I don't have one of the Legacy cranes, mine still has those little crank handles on the side.

I did upgrades at York so it has definitely been out as John said since September. As far as making modules I understand some folks don't have the means or interest in making them. I have made some for folks and mailed them out or as I said did upgrades at York. Glad Lionel is still selling them.
Marty and I were both upgrading Legacy systems with the new version at York. I'll bring my modules to the spring York as well and have them available at the Henning's Trains booth in the orange hall to upgrade Legacy systems.
