Good Morning,

I am trying to replace the rectifier disc on a 1063 transformer with a diode.  I have experience with the stud diodes on ZW transformers, but never worked on this model and this type of diode.  I can't find many resources online.  I basically just want to know how to solder it.  There are 2 wires that go to the speed nut (black and resistance) I wasn't sure how they should be connected to the new diode.

Pretty straight forward. The 2 wires that are connected to the speed nut connect to one end of the diode, the other end connects to the metal frame holding the disc. Note this transformer uses a plastic retaining clip instead of the traditional stud and fiber washers otherwise it would not fit under the coil.
