Some standard O rolling stock for around $55, which in today's market is pretty reasonable pricing.  Clear they are trying to provide products at different price points, which makes good sense.  I'm likely in for one of the 0-6-0T New Haven locos.  Not bad pricing for LionChief + 2.0, but everyone's mileage varies, obviously.

Some Maine and Canadian stuff for my friend from New England .

Yeah!!!

Appears Mr. Muffin is still adding items. Two more pages in the last 20 minutes. . Keep refreshing. NW2 diesels at about $400.  Doesn't say whether Legacy or LC + 2.0.  Overall a pretty ambitious Vol.2 I'd say, in terms of volume of products.  The Universal remote is still only $55, so you don't have to spring for a ZW-L or even a CW80 if you don't want to for newer products.  One of the great bargains still available IMO.

Those 0-6-0T's will probably sell like hotcakes like the last batch. I'd be in for another one, although I need to see all the road names first.

EDIT: Doing this from memory, but price looks to have increased ~ 50 bucks from the last run two years ago. Will have to see what Ro and others list them for.

EDIT x 2: And I have my answer.   Ro has them for $294. Not bad...still a lot of features in a nice package for under $300.

Will this have swinging bell?

  • Doesn't appear so.
  • "Single hit or continuous mechanical bell sounds - 5 levels of bell pitching for customized sounds"
Bigger isn't always better! Light and versatile, the 2-6-0 was perfect power for smaller roads and branch lines and could be equally as suited for fright or passenger service. Because of their simplicity and efficiency, many examples survived to the end of regular steam operations on railroads and still today hauling tourists on scenic lines across the country. Small working way-freights and mixed trains seem designed for model railroaders. Sized to fit any layout, there is no shortage of work to do stopping at each town and siding along the route to set out or add cars, less-than carload freight and passengers. It's railroading at a slower pace and with a more personal touch. Be the railroad Mogul of your miniature empire with one of these new 2-6-0s. Compact enough to navigate O-31 curves and still look good, these are perfect power for all sorts of consists - from milk trains to passenger excursions! Featuring an improved back drivable gearbox, LEGACY and Bluetooth control and RailSounds, these Moguls will deliver on performance you can enjoy on layouts small and large.

I guess that I am old school, out of touch, and out of date. But what would really make me salivate is if Lionel scaled up the S Gauge American Flyer Baldwin Diesel and produced an O Gauge version with the same robust, simplified look that evokes the toy trains of the Post War era. I'd buy that Chesapeake Western Baldwin in half a heart beat if it was O Gauge!
