Just received a 2035 locomotive. The seller states the smoke unit is functional. It looks to be an original smoke unit as opposed to a new rebuilt one. What is the proper smoke medium to use on this? Thanks...

You can use liquid or pellets. The problem is, you have no wick and a very limited cup, so only a few drops at a time, and then add more when smoke fades.

The 2035 is supposed to have wicking, part number 671-212 "lining". I double them up for use with liquid, they hold 20 drops easily.
