I'm wondering if anyone knows if the top vibrating platform is nickel plated or stainless steel on the 3656 acessory platform? Any tricks to clean the platform?
I'm not sure, but I think it was plated. The reason I think this is because the one that I used to have had very small black spots in it (rust).
I cleaned mine using automotive polish, then waxed. This seemed to help the cattle around the bend, so to speak, but can't be sure that it really helped that much as it didn't really work at all when I purchased it.
Hopefully you can get a more positive answer than mine.
Well, experimented with cleaning the top platform. Started out with never dull magic wadding polish which was rubbed over the surface to remove most of the major grime Next, Chorine bleach and water mix 1/2 hour. Finally, a bath in coca cola to remove the surface rust under the corral fences. Then back to never dull....the thing looks like a mirror---I can't believe it.
When reassembling it make sure you replace the little pads on the ramp and in the car. It makes it work a whole lot better. Also no matter how well you have it working the cattle still get hung up. So make sure you have your cattle prod close by!
