I'd like to add a reverse light to my Lionel 6-18952 PA. I can't find a wiring diagram for this locomotive. It's early TMCC so it has a LCRU and not a R2LC. If anyone has a wiring diagram and could let me know which pin on the board is for a reverse light I would appreciate it.

Should be in the reference information under TMCC. Also Lionel tech website had those diagrams. G

That board is a non-modular R2LC -- it's basically an LCRU2 without the motor driver components.

Thanks for the diagram! Reverse light works perfect.
Since the board is actually a R2LC would the ERR Cruise Commander M be compatible with it?
It "might" work, but ERR normally wants to see the C08 firmware or later. However, I have put them in with C07 firmware and had them work, but I've never tried with one of these boards.
Hmm. I wonder if it's possible, given that they are pretty much 1st generation TMCC boards. The Cruise Commander M would ne cheaper than swapping to a full Cruise Commander.
Well, you could try it and see. Since they're driving the serial data and the PWM outputs, it may well work.

I could. But if it doesn't work I'm out $100. I may contact ERR and see if anyone has tried it before.
I doubt they'll have any idea, 3rd Rail is just getting up to speed on the ERR line, and all the "old guard" from the original ERR is not around.

I figured as much. Unfortunately.
Lou I just added an ERR Cruise Commander M to one of those Lionel Alco PAs and while at it added RS-2.5 sound. I had to make a 1/2" spacer to support the sound board but all went together easy. I am putting the Lionel PA running gear under an AA pair of MTH Southern Alco PAs and using a Lionel RCM2 in the dummy A unit to control couplers and lighting. Thought you would like to see my Powered Lionel A unit. Lionel called that LCRU2 by two names they also had a sticker on that board which called it R2L CO2. Looking close and comparing it with an LCRU2 it is close but aside from missing the motor driver the traces on the board are a bit different. However it still keeps the LCRU2 name on the board. j

That's the board for dummy locomotives.

Are you referring to the R2L CO2 ? It is what came in my PA-1 powered unit. And was connected to the DCDR. Your comment makes me wonder if it also came in the dummy unit before the modular version . I have a dummy AT&SF B unit with RailSounds but never been inside. The only dummy A Alco PA I have is MTH. I did not know of Lionel making a dummy PA-1 till the Pennsy set but since it has Odyssey it also has modular boards j
It does have PWM outputs for the DCDR, but I only saw one in a dummy. They're not all that common, at least in my orbit.
