Just picked up a new in the box SP 2-8-0 #6-28036. Engine looks great and runs fine. I run it conventionally. One thing that bothers me is the slow chuff rate. One per revolution. Is there any way to change this. At least to 2? Thanks!

Well, the reason it has a single chuff is that it also has a mechanical smoke unit. Now, you can certainly add your own chuff switch and have any chuff rate you like. Obviously, my choice for a replacement would be my Chuff-Generator. This can be programmed for any chuff rate you desire.
John’s chuff switch will get you more chuff sounds but your puffer unit will still only give one puff per rev. Fan smoke can be added but its not a drop in mod.

Yep, safe to say that's not a drop-in mod! 
However, it'll sure look a lot better if you like smoke. 
Thanks guys. I usually run with smoke turned off on my engines unless In am running for visitors or videoing. Think Ill leave the engine as is for now. Appreciate the info.
