I just rec'd this loco and am not familiar with one motor with both trucks powered. I have this loco under a light load(8 cars) and it will not reverse. Forward motion is possible, but much slower than others on my layout. Has anyone else experienced this?

This locomotive is geared to run slower which is appropriate for a yard switcher.
You didn’t indicate what you are using to power this locomotive so we can’t tell you anything much about why it might be going in only one direction.
Dan, Thx for your reply. I use TMCC control for operation, for both conventional and command. I contacted seller and am returning loco for repair. I did see a video (Eric's Trains) where he shows the slow operation. For others on this forum, the vendor in question was Trainz.com who responded in one day and sent instructions for return at their expense.
Always good when you are dealing with a reliable seller and, in this case, also forum sponsor.
