Just got a new Lionel 81946 O36 RH Remote/Command switch. It will only throw to the turnout position. The anti-derail function also does not work if approached from the main. If you approach it from the turnout it'll throw automatically. Same for LCS or using the included remote. The remote is getting full feedback from the position of the switch. Wiring all looks good.

Just got this a couple of days ago. My question is, do I just return it to Trainworld (don't even know their return policy yet, they're closed already)?

Thanks.

Possibly an issue with the limit switch inside of the turnout.

The easiest thing to do would be to return it to Trainworld ,and see if they will exchange it for another. I can't see it being an issue, they're a first rate dealer.

Like Rick said, it could be a limit switch or it's associated wiring.  Jack, I've seen a variety of issues that cause the malfunction you're describing in new FT switches.  If you're not comfortable with electrical trouble shooting and returning is easier for you, I agree with Rick, returning it to Trainworld shouldn't be a problem.
