Lionel accessory switch

i could be completely off base but i believe one terminal from the switch goes to the transformer and the other terminal goes to the accessory terminal and then the second terminal on the accessory goes back to the transformer to complete the circuit. this way only power reaches the accessory if the switch is turned on. 

One terminal connects to transformer acc. post, the other goes to the corral terminal. there should be another terminal on the corral that should be connected back to transformer ground. It is just an in line power switch.

Thanks for the help. Turns out the switch got fried so I am using a light switch. Just trying to figure out how to turn the vibration down, the horses are doing flips.
