Lionel Acela 2022

From my reading here, the Acela is plagued by many mechanical problems. This one sounds electrical, like maybe a board that is overheating or a wire that is partially shorted.

My recommendation is that you should file a warranty case with Lionel, and or get a replacement from the dealer since you only have a few months left on your warranty.
