Hi Lionel Trains - Below are two videos that shows 2 issues with the Lionel App that I would like to see you correct on your next upgrade. I have found myself using the App more and more with my Legacy & LC+ / 2.0 locomotives. Please watch the videos and is it possible to get these issues fixed on the next App Upgrade?

Thanks Gary

Thanks Gary.

The issue was also reported on this thread: LC2.0 Berk, I just haven't had time to investigate yet.

As for the LionChief APP running more than 1 engine at once, that is by design. The purpose of LionChief is simplicity. LionChief was created to appease the consumers who complained of how complicated Legacy is. The issue is that we then create something simple, and people want to add more and more features. Doing so, you'd eventually reach a point where LionChief would be as complex as Legacy, defeating the purpose. BUT... we have other things in the pipeline so I would say don't worry.

I am so glad someone from Lionel finally said this. I 100% agree. This is supposed to be the simple stuff everyone asked for.

I havent tried it yet, but now that my new blutooth engines can have thier individual volumes adjusted via the app. I may have to try this.

The manual states once they are set they stay that way even when going back to the cab2. hopefully they stay that way through power off cycles untill changed again. this will come in very handy as I live in an apartment and run with the volumes lower most of the time. especially at night.

the cab2 only lowers the overall volume or the background sounds volumes. problem is in order to hear on some engines the crewtalk diolag  the overall volume  needs to be a little higher. this also turns up the bell and horn making them louder. which I do not want. I dont want the neighbours thinking the midnight express is comming through the wall haha.

So with the apps ability to control the volume of each individual sound like bell, whistle, crewtalk, engine sounds vrs. the cab2 this could be what I need. I still have yet to try it out. I want to still use the cab2 for controlling my engines though to get all the features built in.

shout out to dave hear also my new legacy bigboy #4014, santa fe northern and my visionline challenger wich I just got have the loudest and most clear sound systems I have ever heard in any of my model train engines. wow it sounds so close to the the real thing its almost unreal. now I see why people always said lionel has better sound quallity. the smoke output on these engines is amazing also. I think they have passed mth on these engines. using lionel premium fluid also helps. it makes these engines smoke like a chimney. the whistle steam is also big and strong when up to temp. I am now hooked on whistle steam btw. thanks again dave all your teams hard work really paid off on these models. they are flawless and fantastic.

I agree 100%, Lionel has definitely upped their game in the smoke department.  Lionel engineering should be commended!

Yes they have marty I agree. Just a quick note here. I tried the volume ajustments today with the app. I then tryed using the cab2 remote as normal. it works flawlessly and using the volume up down on the remote only changed the overall volume as I thought it would. It even keep the settings all the same as set by me after turning off track power and back on. Now I can have the crewtalk a little louder than the rest of the sounds. Then just as easily I can use the app to set all the volumes back to original settings. This is truly a great feature. Now I can lower the volumes at night and not bug my neighbors.
