Hello,

I just acquired a Lionel C & O 490 "Yellow Belly" Hudson TMCC locomotive from a gentleman.  I watched it run on his layout in conventional mode and it ran great including sound, headlight and smoke.  (He only ever ran it conventionally).

I brought it home to my layout that has the DCS system as well as a Legacy Base.  When I applied power without the Legacy Base on the sounds came on but the Loco wouldn't respond.  No headlight, movement etc.  Pressing the direction button gave a single chuff sound but did not cause the Loco to do anything.  The whistle and bell buttons on the transformer activated the whistle and bell sounds.

I also tried it in TMCC mode with the Legacy base and I got the same results.  I tried changing the engine ID as well as resetting the TMCC functionality using the standard procedure.  I used the 740 code for the Loco.  Can someone verify if this is correct?  I'm not sure if any of these commands are actually being received by the Loco.  What are the correct Legacy Cab settings for this engine?

It seems like it is only powering up in conventional mode and maybe the reversing unit is locked in neutral?  I'm not sure.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Michael
