I have a the Lionel Blue Comet Camelback, SKU: 2131390, and I need the screw that holds the IR tether to the locomotive, mine fell out somewhere. When I go to the Lionel parts site, they don't have the parts for this locomotive. I have tried a few other Camelbacks on the site with no luck, does anyone know what screw part is needed to resecure the tether to the locomotive?

Any success finding the screw?
FWIW, I looked for a good amount of time trying to see all versions of Camelback engines lionel made and came up with nothing.
Earlier ones in the TMCC era used a post on the engine and the tender had the metal drawbar. So basically completely incompatible and not worth looking at. This starts at 6-18xxx numbers, then 6-28xxxx, then 6-38xxxx. Again, on these you look at the tender because the engine diagram won't show anything since the post is part of the main frame and drive block. An example part 7
Lionchief plus used the Lionchief drawbar system (6-82xxx number series)- and I'm not sure how compatible that is compared to the Legacy drawbar.

The parts breakdown just doesn't show me much
Drawbar Camelback search pretty much comes back without the detail we need.
All I'm saying is, sometimes if I don't post, it's because I don't have a good answer.

Here's the one from the 2131440 Camelback, one has to imagine it's the same.
- It's a shoulder screw with an SAE 6-32 thread.
- The shoulder is 5mm in diameter and 5mm in length.
- The threaded portion is 4mm in length.
- The head is 8mm in diameter and 2mm thick.
- It's a straight slot head.

Looks pretty close, buy a spring while you're there.
Then the spring if you need it?
I'm a little less sure since many don't have measurements. Also, 5mm shank converts to roughly 3/16 Inch since that is how some springs are labeled?
Thank you for the help! @Vernon Barry I had those same hours of frustration searching every Camelback Lionel has ever made. I was certain one would have the parts breakdown I needed, but no. Really odd that none of the new camelbacks have the parts breakout listed. I found that actually for a number of my newer engines.
I did email Lionel and asked them, they came back with the same screw part as above! They didn't mention the spring though, but I'll order one anyway.
Thank you both!
Fortunately, I have one of the new Camelback locomotives, so I just took it apart. The spring goes first, then the drawbar, then the screw.
