I have the NYC version of this locomotive released about the same time. It has road specific sounds and runs like a champ with good smoke. My LHS, Niagara Hobby & Craft Mart has one on the shelf.
I hope the crewtalk has a canadian accent and says "eh?" at the end of sentences.
Oh, the Canadian "eh" is indeed alive and well; I've heard it more than once. I've also
heard a couple of Minnesotans come out (careful with that one, too) with the ending
"eh".
Not that there's anything wrong with that. I've actually heard Scots and Australians
on TV speak in ways that called for subtitles. Not all, but sometimes...
Rather than worrying about the Eh ! which is used mainly by uneducated Canadians we should be wondering if the crew talk will be in French first , as it is one of our official languages
followed by English as is done in most of the federally incorporated companies of which
CP is one of the largest
Theres a few videos on youtube of it,search lionel 11156. Heres one from forum member "gunrunnerjohn".
My mistake, it likely has the same chuffetc as the other two models and shares the whistle from either. There should be specific crewtalk, this loco is "pre generic" crewtalk.
Heres a link to an actual photo to give you an idea what it looks like in person. Just click on the photo in the ad for a bigger version.
I still wish I could find a video as I'm considering to get one.
