I am acquiring the above mentioned set. (Sharknose ABA) This is the Lionel Century Club version with TMCC. I noticed watching some YouTube videos the large gab(s) between the coupled engines. Are there O scale versions of Kadee couplers I could install to cut down on those gabs between the engine units?

You might be able to order the couplers from a more recent release, they are shorter for close coupling
Scott - You could also check out Eric Siegel's (of Eric's Trains) video reviews because IIRC he substituted some Kadee couplers onto a set of Lionel Shark Nose Diesels he was reviewing to reduce the huge gap between units.
Yeah Scott, it’s Eric’s review of his NYC RF-16s and at the 9:50 mark he talks about his Kadee coupler conversion.
