I recently acquired a Century Club 6-145334 A unit and a 6-24510 B Unit with no manuals. I tried to look for them on Lionel’s web site but there was no joy to be had there. I like to have a manual for my locomotives in case there is something special feature that I have overlooked. So can anyone please send me a hard copy or a pdf of the manuals if you have one. I’m happy to pay for the postage for a hard copy. My email is in my profile.

Thanks,

David

David, the number for your A unit is actually 6-14534 and was part of an AA set number 6-14532.  This TMCC set is unique in that both A units had full command control, were powered AND had sound.  Most Lionel AA sets had only one unit powered with sound and the other was a dummy, and if there was a second powered A or a B unit they did not have sound.

Also, the two A units in this set were designed to work together along with the B unit.  I would recommend you look for the other A unit, 6-14533, as they make a great set.  Issue would be that this is the first time I have seen the A units sold separately.

Ron,

After programming the A&B units I can tell that I have the trailing A unit. It starts in reverse and the front coupler only operates when I press R on my controller.

The B unit operates correctly but really should be behind the leading A unit to be properly synchronized with it.

Still the engines run well and look good on my layout. I will be on the lookout for 6-14533 A unit to complete this lash up. You never know what will be available online or at York.

Thanks for all the great information.
David

Marty,

Just as an FYI, where does one find the "Customer Service" section?  There are no links or pages with this title on either lionel.com or lionelsupport.com that I can see, but maybe these old eyes are just not spotting them.

Mike

Sorry "Lionel Support" is where I entered the term Century Club in the search bar and the Sharks were listed.  I think if you would have entered the set number (6-14532) you would have gotten a hit.

I have these units too the AA set. IMHO they are the best command control diesel AA set ever made. I used the same engine number in both units as one starts in forward and one starts in reverse. I enjoy hearing the horn and bell from both unit
If I had anything  egitive to say about them it would be replacing the traction tires which Lionel recommends having a trained tech do it.

Good luck with them

John
