Lionel cleaning couplers

Any suggestions on how to clean up these couplers?
lionel #6-14512 it’s never been run but the F-3B unit couplers have whiten or oxides? The other 2 diesels in the set look great.

I use Tri-flow lubricant and a stiff bristle brush. It cleans and blackens both black oxide and satin black paint finishes. You might want to watch the humidity in your storage area. Try to keep it below 40% RH.
