I installed 7 command control remote fastrack switches today. I had no problem programming the first switch. After pushing the set button on the cab remote the light on the switch stopped  blinking and the switch works like a charm. I programmed that switch #1. But in programming my other switches the switch light would not stop blinking and I could not program them.

Has anyone ran into this problem with these switches?

Are the switches defective, or did I do something wrong?

Does anyone know how this can be remedied?

Thanks Trainrat

I programmed four of them here, the second and beyond worked the same as the first one.  They're programmed 1 thru 4, no problem at all.  They should work exactly the same as the first one, with the obvious exception of which switch ID you use for the succeeding switches.

To start, go back and program the first one as switch 2 and see if that works.

I too have no problems in programming my switches either. I would agree with John that re-programming the first switch as a different number would be a good test, and then I would suggest that you try to program the others again, one at a time, with some other action in between. Although the programming steps are very simple, it is always possible to miss a step when trying to program several at once.

One thought does come to mind though, and please forgive me if this sounds stupid, but have you confirmed that the Legacy/TMCC signal is reaching these new switches? (Does a locomotive respond to commands when on the same piece of track?)
