Lionel CW 80 differences between 60hz and 50 hz models.

I know when these transformers were originally produced they were for 60hz operation only. Several years ago an upgraded version to also work on 50hz was produced. Can anyone tell me what the specific component changes were? I'm in Australia and have a box full of the 60hz versions and I'd like to upgrade them to 50hz operation.

Dave,

Lionel typically doesn't provide parts for the CW-80. Send an email to SantaFeFan with your question. He's on PDT.

A call to Lionel service may help. I would ask if they would exchange them as 50Hz wasn't available when you acquired those.
