Today I was given a Lionel 6530 fire and safety car. It is in good condition except it is missing the doors and bottom door rail on one side. Can anyone give me some information on this car. I was thinking it was newer but the more I look it could be older. Sorry for the poor photos.

Lionel produced the 6530 from 1960 through 1962.
It is an empty 3530 generator car in red plastic with white doors.
The 6530 is not rare, but not ubiquitous either.
It complements the 3512 fire car.
It could also add interest to the 52 fire car.

This car was also included in a set in 1961, I believe, that also had the 3 crane cars pulled by an electric engine(GG1) which would have required overhead catenary!
