Hi OGR,
Has Lionel given any signals of ever putting out a Vision or even just Legacy version of the Southern Pacific 2-8-8-4 AC-9?
The latest TMCC version dates way back to 2004.
For those who have or know this version well what do you think of it?
Is there enough Version/Legacy extras to lobby for a newer version?

Lionel did make a LEGACY version of the AC-9, actually! Back in 2017 in the Volume 1 catalog.
They've yet to rerelease it with Bluetooth or any of the updated features, but considering that 2017 release is pretty difficult to find now, maybe they'll rerun it?...

Personally I prefer the TMCC version. Even though it isn’t legacy, I prefer the sounds they used in the TMCC version, especially the whistle. Also in the legacy version, when you blow the horn the whistle steam feature still activates.
