I have one of the latest GG1s from Lionel.  I bought it new from Trainworld in December.  It has been great until today.  I keep it in a glass display cabinet and so today I took it out connected some cars and powered up the track.  I have only run this using TMCC.  I had assigned it the number 77.  I was startled and shut down the power.  I put the control on my GW-180 back up to full and it took off in reverse.  I immediately took it off the track switched it to program and assigned it a different number.  When I powered up the track it operated normally until I hit the reverse on the CAB2.  Then when I turned that big red dial on the remote nothing.  I powered down the track powered it up and nothing. I powered up the track and it took off.  So, I guess for some reason it thinks it is being controlled conventionally. Is this something I can address or does it need to go back to Lionel?

I was suggesting, in addition to trying it in BT mode, to temporarily disconnect the TMCC base from the track and try to actually run it conventionally and see if the issues persist.

Thank you.  I did that and it runs fine in conventional. I don’t run anything in conventional mode as my layout is all Legacy and TMCC with all turnouts in command mode with track power.
