Lionel GS-1

I haven’t had any issues with mine. So far I’ve only ran it on MTH Realtrax, O-72 and O-82 curves and O-72 switches. Strange since I’ve never really seen issues with Lionel scale steam locos having significant tracking issues.

No issues with my VisionLine GS1 on O72 Ross Track or on my Ross Switches.       I did have an issues with periodic double chuffs and sound drop.   GS1 is in the hands of Lionel as I type.

   The scale Lionel GG1’s are probably one of the fussiest engine as far as track curves are concerned. At my club’s layout we used Gargraves Flex Track for our curves. One of which was slightly smaller than 072 say 071 & 1/2. One of our members had a JCL GG1 and it would derail at that curve every time. Big Boys, Challengers, Triplex, Northerns would all go around with out issue even a 2-12-4 no problem but not the GG1. If your VL GG1 is derailing only at one 072 curve and not others check out your track work to see if there is any issues there.

I think Jatracy was referring to a GS-1 but your point is taken with check your track.
