Lionel has a in-store in weekend instead of their warehouse sale. Friday I drove down to Concord Mills to check it out.

The open stock table was there. Most years this table is either $5.00 or $10.00. This year they had each car priced separately. Prices varied from $5.00-$25.00. Also new was the AS IS signs and stickers.

The new LionCheif starter set engine(includings the Polar Express Engines ) had AS IS stickers on the boxes. Another sign read no remote, must have a Lionel Universal Remote to operate. A $75.00 locomotive that doesn't operate isn't worth $75.00. There were also the sound industrial buildings that had AS IS on stickers as well. I passed on them as well.

They had the usual higher end engine that had visited the Lionel service department.

The best deal I saw was this one. I have one of these already in the earlier version that I had TW Trainworks install cruise control. As tempted as I was to buy this for myself for the whistle steam I called a friend to see if he wanted it and brought it back to Roanoke for him.

Not the real Warehouse Sale but it was close enough for 2020.

I got a new SP Salad Bowl Express Legacy set for 1/2 price complete with 4 cars.. I noticed everything not classified as warehouse sale was offered at  a 15% discount so I picked up a new 4-6-6T. A train club friend told me about the sale and we car pooled from East Tennessee. He found a full set of UP 21" passenger set (8-9) cars.
