The crossover in the the attached picture is an RCS 175 wired per instructions with two diagonal opposite switches wired too one controller. If I throw the switches with either the LCS or the RCS 1002 controler or the Legacy remote the only one switch icon on the track view changes, but both switches will throw. How should I be assigning the switch numbers in Legacy, and will it be the same for setting up LCS.

Thank you

Jim

Do you have the CSM2 boxes sensing the switch positions?  I ask because my crossover switches indicate properly, though one lags the other until the actual movement, then the CSM2 sense spots it and corrects the display.

Note that after a short delay for the switches to transition, the second switch indicates the proper path.

Just for another data point, I have 5 pairs of turnouts. Both turnouts in the pairs have the same TMCC ID. When one turnout is touched on the iPad its color indication changes immediately and both start moving to the new direction. The indicator for the second turnout changes color in one to two seconds, when the STM2 reports the new positions back to the iPad. It is the same as John's video above. My layout was built prior to the CSM2 so it has STM2's.

I have three iPads that can operate the layout. The other two iPads show the changed positions of both turnouts at the same time as the second one changes on the iPad used to throw the turnouts. This is because the other two iPads get both turnout updates from the STM2.

Again thank you for the help. I completed wiring for one switch, did the module programing with out any problems. The indicator lights on the STM2 flashed like its instructions said. Switches throw ok with the Command remote or the DZ 1002. No luck changing indications on my iPad. It also seems have a rather slow response when trying to throw the switch with the LCS.  I failed to  mention that I have Z stuff DZ 1000 switch motors. Could that be my problem?

I do not have any DZ-1000's but have several DZ-2500's. The STM2 does not work with the DZ-2500 without an additional relay and an additional power supply. This incompatibility was fixed in the CSM2 design. The DZ-1000 could have the same incompatibility with the STM2. Someone on the site will know for sure. I can post the wiring diagram to interface the STM2 with a DZ-2500 if it is confirmed the DZ-1000 has the same problem.

Most of my turnouts are operated with Tortoise machines that interface directly with the STM2.
