i had to replace the RCMC board. i replace it with a new board from Lionel. After replacing it, the couplers front or rear do not work.  The sounds still come out of the speaker but they do not open. I change out one with a new one just to make sure the old ones did not get cooked. the new one does nothing either. Is there anything you have to do different with a new RCMC install other than the typical set up like it comes out of the box new? Did not know if you have to manually input codes? The system is Legacy (cab 2). Any help would be appreciated

I am just curious now. this is the third post i have put up without any help or advise? Am i posting in the wrong area? a few months ago i would get a few replies asking for more info,  and then i would update with the info that was asked and no response again. Not really sure what to think. My questions i am asking dont seem any more tech than any of the other ones on this forum.? in fact some of them pretty straight forward. guess i leave it alone as i am sure this isn't aloud.

Well I think your on the right sub-forum but honestly I figured someone else would’ve piped in by now.

to answer your question no there is nothing else you should need to do to a RCMC. They are flashed with the correct program from Lionel for each specific item. I find it odd that both couplers don’t work. My first move would to be remove the plug from the RCMC and ohm the pins to ensure you read the coil at the end of the wires. If you get OL or infinity then there’s a break in the wire somewhere

well thank you for responding. i do appreciate it. i wasn't sure if they were flashed at Lionel. when i did call them they were not able to answer and tell told me to email them for that kind of tech answer. this has been over 4 weeks now. so i thought isd reach out here. i have swapped out both couplers with complete new ones and still nothing. i am afraid that im going to have to send the RCMC board back. only took 6 weeks to receive this one.

again thanks for your response.
