So I decided that I wanted a full powered ABA set of the legacy F3's for my Atlas Zephyr train. I ordered a second powered B unit and took the guts out and put it in the dummy A unit. Now before I did this I checked the parts listings at Lionel and all three board look the same but have different part numbers and the set is designed to run as a set with all three units on the same loco address. thinking the dummy A-unit board may not have motor capability I used the B-unit board and everything worked except the lighting on the trailing a unit worked liek the leading b unit with marker lights red in revers and white in forward. So wanting the lighting correct I put the dummy A unit board in and sure enough, no motor function but the marker lights wire the way they should. So dumb that the board looks exactly like the other two but doesn't have motor function. I had such high hops for not having to use the "Train" function on my legacy for this set. Curse you Lionel firm ware
