So in everyone's opinion which Lionel Legacy version of NKP 765 is better and how so? For reference, there was a 2010 version and a 2014 version. Post any pictures or video you like. From what I've seen, the 2010 version seems slightly better, but I'm curious as to everyone else's thoughts.

I would go for the 2014 version. It has the Rich Melvin crew-talk. Eric Siegel did a great review...
Sam,
Go with the 2014 NKP 765.........smoking whistle, makes a difference.

Actually, they both have Rich Melvin in the cab.
I had the 2010 version and sold it to get the 2014.
Besides whistle steam effect, the 2014 version has an optional boiler front with a MARS light.
I cant pinpoint the difference, but I like the looks of the 2014 a little better.
Both are great engines.
Did the 2010 version have the Infra-Red (IR) sensor for the LCS operating track? That would be the only feature I might trade up for.
Go with the 2014 version, has whistle steam that you will love!!!!!

No, it did not.
Another plus for the 2014 version over the 2010 one due primarily to the fact that it has both the IR sensor and whistle steam feature. It's a great engine, and is the reason I am re-doing my layout (wider curves) to accommodate it.
I don’t own this engine, but I have seen 2014 model up close. I found these 2 pictures online. I noticed the visual difference between the 2 is the white walls on the 2014 model vs 2010 model does not have white walls. In my opinion think the 2014 model looks better with the white walls.
Here is a video of 2010 model....

I prefer the 2010 as well for the same reason even though the real one currently has that treatment. I wanted the newer version and opted for the C&O.
I still say go with the smoking whistle on the 2014 version. If you do not like the whitewalls buy some black paint and paint them.
if you do decide on the 2010 version there was one on the Sell/Trade Forum not long ago.
