Charles Ro hit my CC for an item recently. I have several pending orders out there but think this might be one of the new Lion Chief+ 2.0 0-6-0t's. Have been looking forward to these as this will be my first 2.0 item and these appeared to be feature rich. Nice price, too.

I'm in line for a couple of those, I'm very interested to see what actually gets delivered.
I didn't get to place an order for these. I'm waiting to see the parts listing for these to see if I can upgrade my conventional 0-6-0s.
Ro still shows Oct, and Lionel shows Nov.

Yep, that's what I thought but it is now confirmed. I just received an email invoice receipt from Ro. It is indeed the 0-6-0t, item # 2032020. 
And my Birthday is October 2nd. Perfect timing!

Not a chance! You can't buy the parts, and given the fact that they've added so much, it would cost far more to buy the parts than just buy the engine.

Please post your first impressions when you get it, I'm eager to see if this is everything the advance billing suggests. I'm having a very hard time imaging them delivering on all the features for a street price of a little over $200!
Since this wasn't a BTO, I find it a little hard to believe they're out already. Are you sure they've actually shipped one?

I hear you, John. This is all I have to go on...in years of ordering from Ro he has never charged my CC until an item is shipping. I just checked my CC on line and the charge is there. Plus I have an email receipt with the 0-6-0t specifically listed.
Will advise here.

So they made a production run of these? And I could potentially get one?
I can' wait to get the two I ordred. If as advertised they will be really cool.
I have the one with the Brooklyn livery on order with my LHS. Last time I spoke to the owner, he said they are expected to arrive in October, which now is only 2 weeks away.
Fingers crossed: these locomotives could turn out to be delightful switchers. Arnold
Well, Charles Ro said Oct 10th for availability, kinda' makes sense. I know they get stuff pretty quickly after it arrives, they must have a truck at Lionel when the ship docks. 
i want one of these too if there was one lc2 engine i could possibly afford its these 0-6-0 porters at 250 bucks and they can pull just enough to satisfy my steelworks and scrap iron operations which is great
steel and scrap hauling is a very large industry for the Fenix.
i hate to say it but according to lionel's website it says the date as 12/6/2020 and i just checked a second ago
i been watching these and the tier 4s like a hawk
if i do pick one of these up next summer i'll put wood stove scented smoke fluid in it

Did you receive yours yet? My credit card still hasn't been charged. The new CharlesRo ad came out today with new Lionel releases, and it's not listed there either. Weird.

Yeah, well, mea culpa to all for the false alarm. Here's the story...
I have about a half dozen preorders with Ro and my old credit card in their system was expired. I got an email asking me to call to them to update. Lo and behold a few days later I saw a ~$200+ on my card from Ro AND I got a .pdf receipt in an email specifically listing the Lionel loco by name and SKU #. So...what to think? That's usually a pretty good sign the item is shipping. Wrong. They apparently "tested" my new card and the next day the charge was removed.
So, we wait...I think I'll refrain from any postings until I see it on my door step. 
That explains it. Hopefully October or November will happen.
On the other hand, my Christmas Story leg lamp car came in! They charge me for that today. 😀
I have a conventional Lionel 0-6-0 I converted to R/C a few years ago. It was a tight squeeze. Will be interesting to see how Lionel got the LC2.0 electronics in place.

Same for me. Shows October and no CC charge. My luck, they will sell out by the time they get to my name on the list. LOL

Usually when merchants "test" my card, they don't give the money back, so you're doing good.

I think your ok. If you pre-ordered, that pretty much guarantees one for you. It's the ones that didn't pre-order that would have to worry.
I did pre-order but Murphy's law is applicable to me well beyond the average. LOL

Funny you mention that. One of the things I thought about later was that a lot of merchants "test" by running a $1.00 figure to verify a valid CC. This was the full amount at Ro's preorder price. Which is exactly why I was shouting yippee the new loco is in!

Nobody knows if we'll see them this year! 
Ryan from Lionel said that they are being shipped to their warehouse and should be available shortly. I believe that was on Lionel on Facebook. About a week or two ago.

I noticed that Trainworld has just recently changed them from "Backorder" to "Add to Cart" with "New" in Red beside it.
And still selling them at the MSRP... I thought TrainWorld was the land of discounts.
