What is the difference between th LIONEL PRE WAR 150...151...152..153...154 engines?

These are models of the NYC S class electrics.

They are 150, 152, 153, 154, and 156. Smallest to largest.

The 152 is unidirectional and 153 is the same shell with a reverse lever.

They range is color, some more valuable than others (mohave and peacock specifically)..

There's also the #158, which is the same as the 150 except it has 2 dummy headlights instead of a headlight and bell.
