Lionel Product Video for new Y3's

Looks, runs, and sounds nice. However, no articulated chuffing is a huge mistake IMHO. Still it is very tempting to pick up a couple. If there were more FasTrack available I would probably be giving myself some Christmas presents right about now :-)

 

The new electronics and mounting looks fantastic. Nice job Jon. Any chance we could see a non-articulated offering soon? It looks like you have reduced the size of the components quite a bit.

Good video by Mike at Lionel. There is another video on the website dedicated to the topic of TMCC/Legacy and its application to two rail s gauge. It is also very well done. Ben

The Video is well done, however the setting is not Steam, but rather Flyer/Pullmore, "FPS" on the Cab-2 menu for the locomotive type.  I will ask Mike to correct the Video.

Thanks Jon.  I was wondering about that since you probably added FPS and FPD for the recent and forthcoming Legacy AF engines that you are producing.  Is the Y3 the first steamer that should be set to FPS?  And which diesel should be set to FPD?  Thanks.

 

Here's another suggestion for the future when the model's not on roller stands.  Maybe an oval of FasTrak instead of a 3' section of Gargraves to better demostrate some of the features?

Another reason S scale is a very attractive scale to model.

 

 S may be the "perfect" scale.

I would recommend using the FPS or FPD for the U33, Y3, SD70, etc going forward.
