On the underside of the motor trucks, there should be a single screw  located opposite the screw holding the pickup roller collector assembly. Removing that screw should liberate the truck chassis except wiring. Being careful not to stress the wiring or to loose the now disconnected motor into the shell. You should have enough room to replace the tires.

Rio Grande Forever - Before you start undoing screws you may want to do a Search of previous Forum Posts regarding the installation of traction tires because there's been some that outline how to install them using paper clips and such which avoid the need to remove any screws.  It takes some patience (because I've done it) but persistence pays off.

Anytime I don't have to remove screws I'm all for it, and believe me when I say If I can do it, anybody can!
