Hi Everyone, Not that long ago I received my Lionel #2818 ES44AC. My wife's son, who is an engineer for the Canadian National, had a chance recently to run it on my layout. His remarks were: it's a beautiful engine, the sounds are great and the whistle and horn are right on! I thought I would pass this on because it's always good to hear how the model compares to someone who actually runs one. For what it is worth, it is a gorgeous model and Lionel did a super job on this one. I chose the #2818 only because the number won't be as prolific as the #2812. It's like choosing the B-side on the old 45's. If any of you have any questions on this fine diesel, reply to this post.
