Lionel Santa Fe F-3 8652 Shell on a MTH F-3 Chassis-Will It Work?

I have a Lionel 8652-8777-8653 F-3 A-B-A set that I bought off of here. It is not a strong puller like the New Haven of the same era. I was wondering if I could use a MTH PS2 dual motor chassis without cutting anything. If so, where could I find 1? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
