I have the Lionel Missouri Pacific SD70 (6-28261). When I start up the engine the front headlights and rear tail lights both light. In forward the rear lights stay on and in reverse the front lights turn off. Below are some of the diagnosis I have done without being able to change the rear taillights on all the time issue.
- I have replaced the rear taillight board (had to since one of the leds were broken and the lights did not go on despite voltage to the board (after this fix the lights stayed on all the time). Note I also checked voltage without the board and voltage whether in fwd or rev.
- I have deleted the engine from the base and re-added it, cleared all trains it was in and checked all 99 and not in any others. performed resets and full function resets multiple times. No luck.
- I replaced front headlight board, still not luck, lights always on.
- I replaced mother board and no luck, rear lights always on.
- took my laptop and looked into the engines in the base and deleted the engine - no luck.
With this said, I am looking for where the issue may be. I know it would not be the sound board, and would not think the driver board or Railsounds power board, do people think the R4LC board is the issue?
