This week my Lionel E6 SP came in. My first steam with white walls, a beauty in my eyes. Runs perfect, great whistle, covers a lot of ground with each chuff with the huge drivers. Waiting for my passenger cars, but for now she pulls freight in the valley. Please post pics of E6's here.

Looks great. I would like for. Lionel to produce more small steamers. Even on big layouts the smaller steamers look at home probably more than a big boy. There are so many models they could produce with different variations .
I have an early version of this tooling. I chuff, but it came with Odyssey. Always liked it, even though I was bothered by the fact that it has a nicely-done SP superstructure but PRR E6 Atlantic running gear. I like Atlantics in general.
Mine was lettered "Northern Pacific" and also has the low PRR box coal tender. I re-lettered it to one of my freelance roads, since Lionel had essentially freelanced the whole thing anyway.
