I just saw on Lionel’s online store that they will be doing a 2022 Legacy themed locomotive from the former MTH Premier 2-10-4 tooling. It looks pretty sharp!

I rather like colorful fantasy schemes, but having "Limited Edition" printed on the tender is a bit tacky for my taste. Regardless, may this engine sell to the delight of Lionel.
This was brought up a few days ago. They still have a few from last year.
I like the paint scheme.
I like fantasy schemes if well done. This one looks a bit overdone to me, but that's just my opinion. I wish Lionel well with it.

Yep. and I'm one of the buyers of it. 
Seems that many of the fantasy schemes do better than the actual prototypes. Just goes to show that everyone has their own tastes.
I've always liked the manufacture fantasy paint schemes. I wish MTH made MTH livery steam engines. Neat scheme IMO however I agree with @das boot the 'Limited Edition' on the tender could definitely be removed.
I think it looks tacky. But to each their own.
OK guys. We had several alerts to this thread. The bickering between some of you and your opinions, etc. earned a look at the thread where we deleted posts. Yeah, I know, heavy handed again but it seems folks can not express their opinions without it getting personal and/or offended. Why can't we just keep it simple and say "nope, I don't like it" rather than having to go into an entire philosophical diatribe? For decades now all manufacturers have had fantasy paint schemes so what is the big deal? I am closing this thread.
