I am installing a lionel swing bridge and I am having trouble getting it to line up properly. Any suggestions.

Howard: This concerns a different matter with regards to the swing bridge. I am having troubles with mine operating, and it is stuck in the open position. Can you tell me how yours works? As a for instance. Do you push the switch lever until the bridge comes to a complete rest, and does the bridge stop on it's own or do you have to release the switch so nothing happens to the gears inside? Lionel does not have a diagram of the parts so I don't know for sure just how I will take it apart, but they do have some parts to fix things. Thanks for your input.

Yes I push the lever unil it come to a complete stop in the open or closed position. It stops on it own. Then you push the lever the other way to close it.
