I’m embarrassed for Lionel with regards to their traction tires. As soon an a new Lionel engine is released and reviewed here, the first thing mentioned is to switch to MTH tires. MTH is laughing all the way to the bank. Either we are exaggerating the problem or Lionel is deaf.

Traction tires are the least of Lionels problems at this point.
Most of Lionel's stuff doesn't have any tire problems, but I've had a few where the traction tires are too thick and drag on the brake shoes. I use the thinner MTH tires to solve that problem.
