I am trying to remember this movie I saw last year on TCM.

A man is working at Macy's, meets a married women, and then buys a Lionel train set for her son.  I think the set was a Sante Fe passenger set from the early '50's.  There is a scene where he buys her a hot dog near the seal exhibit at the Central Park Zoo.

I don't remember how the movie ended, but I sure remember the trains!

Yes, I was trying to recall the movie with Cary Grant and they were running trains in all the upstairs rooms... great movie... for that scene, it is.  As for the movie "Holiday Affair", the F3s would have been 2333s for that date.  The first F3 engine with a passenger set was in 1952 with the 2343 and extruded aluminum 2500 series cars.. set #2190W.  2333s, St Fe and NYC, headed sets in 1948 and 49, but were all freight sets. The Madison car sets were pulled by either a 671, 726 or the 2332, and then the 773 in 1950.  Even when the 2343 came out in 1950, they pulled only freight sets, as did the 2344s that debuted that same year.

Huh? There are no ads linked in this thread, they're clips from feature-length films.
